Fluorite, known as the "soft crystal," is unique for its fluorescence. When exposed to ultraviolet or specific wavelengths of light, green fluorite displays a distinctive green glow, ranging from light to dark green, and typically appears transparent to translucent. Major deposits are found in China, Mexico, and South Africa.

Green fluorite symbolizes hope, vitality, growth, and energy. In medieval Europe, alchemists called it the "wisest stone" and used it in experiments to enhance intelligence. Some Gothic cathedrals inlaid green fluorite in stained glass windows to symbolize "sacred wisdom."
