2025 Company & Trademark Registration: Key Dates to Avoid
Share
1. Si Li Ri (Days of Separation)
The old almanac warns: “On Si Li Ri, do not undertake major affairs.”
These are the days right before the four solar turning points—Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumn Equinox, and Winter Solstice. There are four such days each year:
Spring Equinox eve → Wood Separation
Summer Solstice eve → Fire Separation
Autumn Equinox eve → Metal Separation
Winter Solstice eve → Water Separation
In 2025, the Si Li Ri are:
March 19
June 20
September 22
December 20
2. Si Jue Ri (Days of Severance)
Similarly, the day before each seasonal beginning—Li Chun (Start of Spring), Li Xia (Start of Summer), Li Qiu (Start of Autumn), and Li Dong (Start of Winter)—is known as a Si Jue Ri.
On these days, one element becomes overwhelmingly strong while another is completely extinguished, creating imbalanced Five Element energy. For example:
Before Spring → Wood is strong, Water is cut off (Water Severance)
Before Summer → Fire is strong, Wood is cut off (Wood Severance)
Before Autumn → Metal is strong, Earth is cut off (Earth Severance)
Before Winter → Water is strong, Metal is cut off (Metal Severance)
Such days are considered highly inauspicious, as Yin and Yang are in disorder.
In 2025, the Si Jue Ri are:
February 2
May 4
August 6
November 6
3. Yang Gong Ji Ri (Yang Gong’s Forbidden Days)
These 13 taboo days are attributed to Yang Jun Song, the Tang dynasty Feng Shui master. Traditionally, they are believed to carry disruptive energies and should be avoided for major matters such as business registration, contracts, weddings, moving house, or ground-breaking ceremonies.
The thirteen Yang Gong days are:
Lunar calendar: 1st month 13th, 2nd month 11th, 3rd month 9th, 4th month 7th, 5th month 5th, 6th month 3rd, 7th month 1st & 29th, 8th month 27th, 9th month 25th, 10th month 23rd, 11th month 21st, 12th month 19th.
In total, Si Li Ri, Si Jue Ri, and Yang Gong Ji Ri form the most critical “forbidden days” in 2025. Whether it is registering a company, launching a new brand, or even personal milestones such as marriage and moving into a new home—none of these should be done on these dates.
In today’s competitive world, choosing the right timing means giving your venture the wind at its back. When the energy flows with you, success naturally comes easier.
